On Xmas day we had lunch at my brother and sister-in-laws house. Again thanks to everyone that made our day so specially, especially João Paulo and Lurdes Neves.

Well here's it all.  Our day started on a drive into Lisbon across the bridge 25 de Abril on a foggy morning.  We had lunch at an Indian Restaurant called Natraj in Rossio, the food was absolutely delicious.  Then we took a walk around Lisbon to take in all the Xmas spirit.  Next we drove back to Margem Sul across the Vasco da Gama bridge and onto Freeport in Alcochete to go and do some Xmas shopping.  Lastly we went to fetch Mom and Aunt to come and eat cake at my place.  One year older but very happy and smiling ;)

What a FABULOUS day we had in Cascais. We went there to delebrate our 23rd wedding aniversary. We ate the most sumptous meal at the Masala Indian Restaurant, I swear the food was divine! Then we went walking around and took in the gorgeous sunshine and even got to ride on the big wheel. An unforgetable day!

Yesterday evening we went with our cousin Manny that is visiting Portugal to a nice cosy restaurant in Sobreda called Texugo.  Texugo in English is a badger ;)

Lunch in Sesimbra

Today we went for lunch at Os Jorges in Sesimbra to celebrate hubbies birthday. The food was delicious and as can be seen from the fotos we had the absolute best table with a gorgeous view of the sea. Then we roamed around Sesimbra and now we're home resting so that tonight we can party some more :P

Yesterday we decided to go and visit and taste some of the goodies at he Lisbon Street Food Festival. The place was buzzing with tourists and it was such a lovely relaxing afternoon. If you want to visit you'd best hurry cause today is the last day!

After our visit to the Lisbon Street Food Festival we went and have supper at a Mozambican place that had been on my bucket list for some time, called O Cantinho do Aziz. We had a lovely meal slap bang in the middel of a little typical street as can be seen from our fotos. The place is not big and whilst we were having our meal the queue kept on growing. So if you want to eat here make sure you book, we were lucky smile emoticon The food was delicious, our group had muamba de galinha, chacuti de cabrito, caril de camarão and the coconut rice which is a must. The guys had Laurentina. We ended our meal with gelado de manga and pudim de coco and coffee.

Today my brother-in-law celebrated his 50th birthday at Delicias de Goa, if you do not know the restaurante I recommend you visit it.  The food is very good and setting is perfect.  The owner and his team are excellent!

Hoje o meu cunhado celebrou os seus 50 anos no Delicias de Goa, se ainda não conhecem aconselho vivamente. Os pratos são uma delícia e a decoração fantástica. O dono e o team dele são impecáveis no serviço!

Praia das Rocas

Wonderful day spent yesterday at Praia das Rocas.  One of the best places I've been to in Portugal! The River Beach of Rocas is a leisure complex with animation and fun set in a lake with nearly 1 km long, right in the heart of Castanheira de Pera . It consists of an island in the centre of the beach , a wave pool with 2100 m2 ( the largest in the country) , a reservoir and a secular bridge constitute an environment where dreams and reality merge . The clear waters of Ribeira de Pera overflow , forming a charm where tropical palms coexist harmoniously with the Serra da Lousã peering from above . You can also enjoy yourself in rowboat or pedal boat. You can also do abseiling and stay overnight in one of the six bungalows on the shore of the reservoir , with a privileged view of the huge mirror of water.
