Praia das Rocas - Castanheira de Pêra

So Sunday was another Family outing and we decided to go to Castanheira de Pêra - Praia das Rocas where we've been before but since it's such a wonderful place it deserves a visit many times 😼
Here one can find a lake and a waves beach/pool right in the heart of Castanheira de Pêra.

In the cetre of the enormous pool there is an island, a wave pool(beach) and the environment is absolutely dreamy. The Lousã mountain lurks from anywhere where you chose to lay your towel and one gets that relaxing feeling from hearing the water splashing, the little breeze blowing and watching the mountains...oh how marvelous!

There are also various activities which you can enjoy, from rowboat, gullwing, slide, rock climbing or abseiling.  Maybe you'd like to spend a night in one of the gorgeous bungalows on the bank of the river, with a privileged view over the water ;)

Galen Weston Concert

So Saturday night we got invitation tickets from Galen to his show in Lisbon.  In all honesty I did not know of him or his music but since I love jazz I said let's go and hear him out.  Man, were we in for a great surprise!  They were all absolutely amazing, from Galen to the rest of the band. The Galen Weston Band is comprised of David Woodhead on bass, Al Crosson (the Cuban and funny one of the group) drums, keyboardist Matt Horner, Richard Underhill (wow amazing on alto sax, and appeareances by the good looking kid Rick Lazar on percussion. There is certainly this chemistry between all of them that is felt by us the public.  If you can do not miss the chance to see these guys live!
