Tourist in my own city

So here we go, today being a public holiday (carnival) I decided to go with the Family to do some sight-seeing in my beautiful Lisbon.

We started of at Largo do Carmo and went to see the lovely Museu Arqueológico do Carmo and it's chapel.  We also took some pics from steps that we will later show which lead to the elevator.

For prices and entry times please consult their web page...http://www.museuarqueologicodocarmo.pt/info.html

Next, and as it was getting near to lunch time we decided (voted by kids) to go and have lunch at the Chiado warehouse ;)

From here we went to see the views from the Bellavista Elevator...a real must and there you can also have a meal.  The prices are not too excessive ;)

No, you're not in Paris :P

This next church everyone paying a visit to Lisbon HAS TO  see it.  I have never seen such a beautiful display of art as I did here!
The Church of São Roque is a Catholic church in Lisbon, dedicated to São Roque and built at the end of the 16th century, with the collaboration of Afonso Álvares and Bartolomeu Álvares. He belonged to the Society of Jesus, being his first church in Portugal, and one of the first Jesuit churches in the world.

Our next stop was in Belem, land of the very well know "pasteis de nata".  The following pics are of the Jeronimos Monestry and surrounding area.

Vasco da Gama

Here ended our day, hope you've enjoyed it and come back soon.
