Pilar 7/ Bridge Experience - Ponte 25 Abril

So today I decided to take the Family (minus my son Rafael - he was at the polling station working 😊) )to see the much talked about Pilar 7/Bridge Experience.  This is an elevator that will take you to the top of the bridge (where the traffic is).  Before this you can go through various stages to see how the actual bridge came about, all the men and tecnology used to construct this bridge which looks very similar to the San Francisco Bridge.  The ticket prices are very accessible; Normal adult ticket is 6€, for children up to 5 years it is free and for +-65, groups of more than 10 and students it's 4€.  You can also purchase tickets for the Virtual Reality and these are 1,50€ (free for children up to 5 and those that have the Lisbon Card).  Opening hours; May - September 10:00 - 20:00, October - April 10:00 - 18:00.  It's closed on the 25th December.  Take a look at the pics and then go look for yourself, I highly recommend it 😉

After the Bridge Experience we went for lunch at  http://restauranteleaodouro.com.pt/.  The food is very good but their service is very slow.  We had to ask for knives and glasses as these were not on the table.  At the end of the meal we had to ask for coffee various times and to various waiters...erm I think they need to jack there service up!  Then we just strolled around Chiado and Rossio.
